Policewoman injured catching falling child

A Chinese traffic official is recovering in hospital after suffering a head injury while catching a three-year-old who fell from a fourth-floor window.

Chen Zhongping, 49, dashed to help after she saw the girl climb out of an apartment window in Kaili in the south-eastern Guizhou province.

The girl’s grandmother had locked herself out of the apartment and the girl climbed out the window after she became scared by noises made by the locksmith. She suffered a broken leg.
