MOHAMED FAYED is facing new allegations of sexual assault by former Harrods employees – including a 15-year-old girl who claimed he gave her gifts of perfume and a designer handbag.

The former Harrods owner allegedly assaulted three women who worked at the department store. One woman, who cannot be identified, told Channel 4 News that she was 15 when Mr Fayed, now 88, groped her.

The woman said: “He came into the office one day, into the boardroom. Basically, he just grabbed me to say hello, to hug me. And he just carried on hugging me, and hugging me, and then he started rubbing himself on my chest… And I said ‘What are you doing?’ And he was telling me I was turning into a beautiful woman. And then he grabbed my head and he tried to put his tongue in my mouth.”

She said that when she rebuffed Mr Fayed he “went berserk”.

Another woman, now in her forties, worked at the store 25 years ago. She said he pressured her to take gifts of money and perfume.

In one case she said Mr Fayed made her uncomfortable during a business trip to Paris: “He wanted to dance with each of us. He kept pressing himself against me.

“He was kissing my face. He asked if I liked his kisses. He kept squeezing me and kissing my forehead, and even at one point he kissed my nose. And I remember feeling very uncomfortable and a bit frozen.”

According to the woman, he later told her in his office “I don’t want you having any boyfriends” and kissed her on the face and mouth before asking her to have sex with him.

Another woman hired around a decade ago claimed Mr Fayed began asking her to sleep with him and groped her breasts. On one occasion she went to help him tie his shoes, which he was unable to do because of an injury, and he “went to motion to undo his trousers and held the back of my head slightly” which left her “very shaken”. She claims that she was eventually sacked after refusing to sleep with him, and received a payout of £60,000 after suing for sexual harassment, bullying and discrimination.

Mr Fayed’s lawyer told Channel 4 News that the claims concerning the 15-year-old were “false” and that Mr Fayed was unable to comment further on the allegations.
