For some, the answer to the post-black red carpet was perhaps the most natural one of all: inject some colour. Retinasearing neons and palettes that could have come from a Farrow and Ball sample book have been all over the autumn/winter catwalks, but their arrival on the red carpet is further evidence that they will be finding their way into our wardrobes. Most uplifting were Viola Davis in fuchsia Michael Kors, Jennifer Garner in cobalt Versace, and Greta Gerwig in a gorgeous shade of tangerine by Rodarte.
