Too tall for a comfortable trip to the theatre

-

sir – I went to see Hamilton at the Victoria Palace on Tuesday. Sadly, I had to leave at the interval.

My seat in the Royal Circle was so constricted that my 6ft 2in frame could not be accommodated without serious contortion and discomfort.

Since theatres are required to advise customers on which seats have restricted vision, should they not also alert them to those with limited legroom?

sir – It is not just the Govia Thameslink Class 700 trains that suffer from hard and bolt-upright seats (report, March 8). The new Great Western Class 800 trains are similarly uncomfortable.

It would appear that passenger comfort is being sacrificed to cost savings.

sir – British Airways’ sly reduction of seat width for economy passengers (report, March 7) does not surprise me. Passengers in business class have for years had to endure a head-to-toe configuration so that BA can cram more seats in. David Snook
