Cheating builder claimed £65,000 in state benefits
A benefits cheat who was “unable to put his own socks on” has been jailed after an undercover team caught him working as a self-employed builder.
Keith Webster, 59, was spotted doing manual work for KW Installations, his home improvement business, in Swansea, South Wales, but defrauded the council of £65,000 over six years.
Webster, of Swansea, admitted six counts of dishonestly at Swansea Crown Court. He was jailed for one year.
