The Royal family posted an image on the social media platform Instagram with the message: “Wishing a very happy Mothering Sunday to all of our followers. #Mothersday.” The photograph, featuring the Queen, her four children and the Duke of Edinburgh, was taken in 1965 in the gardens of Frogmore House in Windsor, Berks, as they celebrated the Queen’s 39th birthday.
