George is hearing siren call of police, says Duke
Four years old may be a little early to settle on one’s chosen career, but Prince George, not unlike many boys his age, is showing a passion for the police, his father has revealed.
At an event to celebrate winners of the Metropolitan Police Excellence Awards in Kensington Palace, the Duke of Cambridge met Nabil Laasid, the cadet of the year, who has done almost 1,000 hours of volunteering in the last year. He was nominated by Jayne Richardson who, after the event, said: “We’re based in Kensington and I said to [the Duke] ‘Perhaps Prince George and Princess Charlotte could join’. And he said ‘He does like the police at the moment’.”
