MASSIMO DUTTI’S PASTEL SUIT
I’ve long been championing the souped-up trouser suit in bright colours and prints; the cost-per-wear of my dark green Zara one must be down to pennies, so often do I wear it (and see right for the merits of checked iterations).
While my own suiting collection has grown rapidly, I’m yet to purchase a pastel number – but this sky blue will come in handy for wedding season paired with flat jewelled mules and a silky cami top, or can be dressed down with a well cut grey tee and adidas Stan Smith trainers for everyday.
At £180, it is steep, but cut is key, so while there are options all over the high street this season, I’d argue that suiting is worth a bit of an investment. To make it worthwhile, I can even layer the blazer over summer dresses for the office. See? Pennies.
