Cambodian pool party ‘porn’ accused says sorry

-

A British expat facing up to a year in Cambodian prison for promoting a pool party with images deemed “pornographic” apologised during a court hearing yesterday.

Daniel Jones, 31, was among 10 foreigners held in January after police raided a party at a villa in Siem Reap, near the Angkor Wat temple ruins.

A court dropped charges against the others but Jones, the party organiser, has been held in jail for nearly two months. He insisted that there was no nudity or sex involved, but apologised for offending Cambodian people. No date has been set for a verdict.
