Last body pulled from Miami bridge rubble

The sixth and final body was yesterday pulled from the rubble of a pedestrian bridge that collapsed near Miami, as the wife of one of the victims said she was trying to find the words to tell her children “daddy is not coming home”.

Chelsea Brownfield lost her husband, Brandon, a tower crane technician, when the newly installed pedestrian bridge leading to the Florida International University gave way on to a busy road below.

Miami Dade police say they are now confident they have retrieved the bodies of all who died in the tragedy.
