Six girls identified over fatal assault of student
Police have identified six girls involved in the assault of an engineering student that resulted in her death.
Mariam Moustafa, 18, was punched several times by a gang of girls as she waited for a bus in Nottingham city centre.
The group is said to have followed her on board and continued the attack until she lost consciousness.
Chief Supt Rob Griffin, of Notts Police, said a post-mortem examination was inconclusive and that further tests would take several weeks.
A 17-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm was bailed pending further investigation.
