The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, today attended Receptions at St James’s Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Internatio­nal Award Foundation, this afternoon held a World Fellowship Lunch at Buckingham Palace.

The Earl of Wessex later received the Governor-general of Barbados (Her Excellency Dame Sandra Mason).

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Internatio­nal Award Foundation, subsequent­ly held a Meeting.

The Countess of Wessex this morning visited Walsingham Support Forge Fach, Hebron Road, Clydach, Swansea, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of West Glamorgan (Mr Byron Lewis).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened Teilos Community Cwtch, 62 Cheriton Crescent, Portmead, Swansea.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Royal Mencap Society, afterwards visited Swansea and District Mencap, Friendship House, John Street, Swansea.

Her Royal Highness later visited Swansea City of Sanctuary, Voluntary Action Centre, 7 Walter Road, Swansea.
