The Assignment strand is most fascinating when it shines a light on big news stories in other countries that somehow don’t receive much coverage over here. Tonight’s edition takes us to Norway, where a community of indigenous Sami people who live in the Arctic North of the country are currently going through a crisis of sexual abuse allegations against dozens of individuals stretching back for decades, and shaking to the core a group of people who have traditionally been marginalised by mainstream Norwegian society.
