Sir Anthony Hopkins is Lear to Florence Pugh’s Cordelia in Richard Eyre’s film adaptation of the Shakespeare tragedy, which premieres on BBC Two this spring. The setting has been moved from the eighth century to a present day England that is ruled by a military dictator.
