Bahrain to punish online opposition

Authorities in the Gulf monarchy of Bahrain yesterday announced “severe measures” to track down dissidents who use social media, in its effort to tighten its grip on political opposition. Amnesty International says Bahrain has stripped hundreds of dissidents of citizenship after trials that were unfair.
