This delightful romcom, an adaptation of Eric Hodgins’ 1946 novel, stars Cary Grant, who later performed in two radio adaptations and a weekly radio series of it.

It’s the story of Jim (Grant) and Muriel (Myrna Loy) Blandings, a city couple who build a house in the wilds of rural Connecticut but find themselves thwarted by cowboy workmen and high-priced materials.
