Hallucinat­ing patient told she would not make it

Kelly Strudwick expected the antibiotic­s she was prescribed for her urinary tract infection to work, just as they had many times before.

But this time the 25-year-old had developed a resistant form of E.coli, which spread around her body. She developed sepsis, began hallucinat­ing and her family was warned that she may not make it through the night. Fortunatel­y, doctors found an antibiotic that worked.
