Millennial­s give BBC radio a poor reception

The amount of time millennial­s spend listening to music streaming services has overtaken the hours they listen to BBC radio for the first time ever.

The broadcaste­r yesterday outlined the challenges it faces and the risk of an “imminent threat” to British content in its annual plan.

From October to December 2017, it said, 15- to 34-year-olds listened to streaming services like Spotify for five hours a week compared to four hours 30 minutes listening to BBC radio.
