Indian minister in hot water over tea expenses
The head of an Indian state has been accused of inflating his expenses after documents showed his office claimed to consume a staggering 18,000 cups of tea a day.
Devendra Fadnavis, chief minister of Maharashtra, allegedly spent Rs 33.4 million (£418,000) on tea and snacks in the last year, over 57 times more than the same figure in 2015-16.
Mr Fadnavis said the money was for all hospitality, not just tea and snacks.
