SIR – For Tim Lee’s “deconstructed beans on toast” to qualify for Masterchef (Letters, March 28) he would need the toast to be crumbs, there would have to be a smear of tomato sauce on the plate, and an edible flower on top of the beans. Anne Wheaton

SIR – I always have my baked beans in a bowl and eat them with a spoon and two pieces of buttered, crispy toast. It prevents the toast getting soggy.
