♦ The Israeli government bought Twitter handle @Israel from a Spanish owner for an undisclosed six-figure sum in 2010.
♦ Lego won an arbitration in 2009 allowing it to remove a site that featured its figures in explicit poses.
♦ A Japanese cybersquatter took advantage of the Malawian top-level domain to register the site b.mw.
♦ When Google launched parent company Alphabet in 2015 with the web address abc.xyz, there were 20,000 registrations of sites with the .xyz domain.
♦ In November, online fashion retailer Asos won a ruling against a cybersquatter who tried to sell clothes on asosdress.store.
