Nigeria to investigate Cambridge Analytica
Nigeria’s government will investigate allegations of improper involvement by Cambridge Analytica in the country’s 2007 and 2015 elections, a presidency spokesman said yesterday.
A committee is looking into claims that SCL Elections, a Cambridge Analytica affiliate, organised antielection rallies to dissuade opposition supporters from voting in 2007, Garba Shehu, the spokesman for President Muhammadu Buhari, said.
He said it would examine claims that Mr Buhari’s personal data was hacked in the 2015 presidential election.
