SIR – I was surprised, but delighted, that the Prince of Wales used his Easter message to draw attention to Christians being persecuted in so many parts of the world.

This is a cause to be embraced totally by the Anglican Church, with every weapon at its command. This should be a world-wide issue and pressure be exerted on governments by any means that can be found. Eric Howarth
