‘Floss’ dancing New school craze gets pupils moving

The latest craze among pupils is normally viewed by teachers as an irritating distraction, but far from attempting to ban the “floss”dance craze, schools have embraced it as a way to encourage children to exercise.

The trend was popularised by a young Youtube star, known as “Backpack Kid”, performing with Katy Perry.

Simon Hunt, a primary school teacher in Bury, Greater Manchester, said the “floss” dance is positive, since it gets children “more proactive and moving around, doing physical activity”.
