Blank stare

During a display event, a member of the Royal Military Police Close Protection Unit crouches between two cars and returns fire using blank rounds.

The display, which showed how the unit responds to an attack on a VIP or a residence, was part of a demonstration at the Nato Military Police Close Protection Conference in Longmoor Training Camp near Liss, Hampshire.

The elite unit is responsible for the protection of high ranking military personnel and other high-profile VIPS.
