Darts star Eric Bristow dies at 60
Eric Bristow, the five-time world darts champion, has died at the age of 60. Bristow suffered a heart attack, and the news of his passing was announced during last night’s PDC Premier League fixture in Liverpool, where fans at the Echo Arena burst into a rendition of “There’s only one Eric Bristow”. The former champion, known as “The Crafty Cockney”, had been at a corporate function nearby. Commentator Rod Studd called him “the biggest star darts has ever had”.
