SIR – I have been a motorcyclist for 58 years and enjoy riding in the lovely valleys of northern England.

I find it tiresome that people who live in the more attractive parts of Britain do not wish to share them (Letters, April 4). There is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the countryside. Rodney Wildsmith
