Football manager killed himself after losing job
A football manager killed himself six months after losing his job, an inquest has heard.
Dermot Drummy, who left Crawley Town as the team’s head coach in May last year, had been seeking counselling for his “low mood after losing his job”.
The 56-year-old, formerly Chelsea’s youth’s coach, was found in woodland in Hoddesdon, Herts, on Nov 27 2017.
Edward Solomons, assistant coroner for Hertfordshire, recorded a verdict of suicide.
