Trapped ferret rescued from tumble dryer
An RSPCA officer had to dismantle a tumble dryer to rescue a ferret.
Inspector Dingley managed to free the female ferret from the outlet pipe after one-and-a-half hours. Only its head had been visible.
It is thought the animal probably climbed in to the tumble dryer, in a Liverpool home, on Saturday for warmth. No owner has come forward.
A spokesperson for the RSPCA said: “The officer was given permission to take the dryer apart. Luckily the Jill [female ferret] was uninjured and was taken to the RSPCA Greater Manchester Animal Hospital to get checked over.”
