Anti-semitism anger

Jeremy Corbyn supporters who dismiss criticism of anti-semitism as Right-wing smears are ‘disgraceful’, Dame Margaret Beckett has said. The former Labour foreign secretary criticised members who make antisemitic comments then ‘pretend’ that they are being persecuted because they are Left-wing. Her comments came as more than 300 people protested outside Labour’s London offices yesterday against Mr Corbyn’s handling of the crisis. Actress Maureen Lipman said: “I said [at the protest] it was pretty scary to have to be here in 2018 protesting about anti-semitism ... and that I thought it was time Jeremy Corbyn left the centre, left the stage because he is pretty malign.”
