Goldman sacks banker who ‘made threats to women’
A SENIOR executive at Goldman Sachs, the investment bank, has been sacked for allegedly threatening female colleagues, including his pregnant boss.
The vice-president, who is in his mid-30s and works in the bank’s operations department, was accused of “aggressive and intimidating” behaviour.
It is alleged that on one occasion after a meeting in February, he made threats to his pregnant boss outside the US bank’s London headquarters in Fleet Street.
The employee, who has been with the bank for five years, will officially leave on May 1, according to Financial News, a website which has seen documents relating to the case.
A source within Goldman Sachs confirmed the vice-president had been fired. His contract was terminated following separate instances of “confrontational” behaviour.
