Chinese Marx statue to be unveiled in Germany

A statue of Karl Marx, the founding father of communism, was erected in his birthplace yesterday.

The south German city of Trier accepted the bronze sculpture from China.

The 5m (16.4ft) tall three-ton statue will be unveiled on the influential thinker’s 200th birthday on May 5.
