No tripe boiling
sir – I acquired my property deeds from my solicitor (Letters, April 13) and they make fascinating reading.
I particularly like the instructions that there must not be any trade or business as a publican, beerhouse keeper, broken-soap boiler, sugar baker, distiller, dyer, glass maker, tripe boiler or tallow-candle maker.
Furthermore, there can be no tempering of saws, steel or cast iron and no steam or engine house. Finally, I cannot have a slaughter house but it must be a private dwelling house.
What a loss it would have been had this information disappeared because the deeds had been destroyed. Susan Apedaile Bolger
