Spring baby
Newt, the red necked wallaby, who was rescued after being let out of its mother’s pouch during snowy weather at Longleat, Wilts, gets a taste of spring. Keepers Gemma Short and Jodie Cobb have adopted the joey, thought to be 30 weeks old, and carry it round in a pouch made from a rucksack. It is being weaned from four-hourly feeds by its adopted parents.
