Taking no chances

Members of the emergency services in protective suits enter Romsey Conservative Club, Hants, after a ‘white powder’ was found in a ‘suspicious’ package addressed to Caroline Nokes, the immigration minister at the centre of the Windrush-generation controversy. It was found to be harmless and the building, which also houses Ms Nokes’s office, reopened.
