Plane landing death
A WOMAN was almost sucked out of a Southwest Airlines plane yesterday when an engine broke off and smashed one of its windows mid-flight, killing a passenger. The plane reportedly blew an engine at about 30,000ft and got hit by shrapnel that smashed the window and damaged the fuselage. Authorities said seven people were injured. “One passenger, a woman, was partially … was drawn out towards the outside of the plane … [but] pulled back in by other passengers,” Todd Burr, the father of another passenger, told NBC10.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating. It said one of the engine’s fan blades had broken off.
