Would-be jihadist jailed on terror charges
An aspiring jihadist who intended to die as a martyr but was “terrified” of paintballing has been jailed for four and a half years.
Ahmedeltigani Alsyed, 20, from Hounslow, west London, was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court after pleading guilty to engaging in conduct in preparation of terrorist acts between November 2016 and February 2017. The Sudan-born extremist was also convicted of disseminating terrorist material, including execution videos and bomb-making guides, and possessing information likely to be useful to a person committing or planning acts of terrorism.
