Hunt for mass computer thief spreads to Sweden

A man suspected of masterminding the theft of around 600 computers that were used to mine virtual currencies, is thought to have fled Iceland to Sweden after a prison break.

Police in Iceland said they believe Sindri Thor Stefansson fled a lowsecurity prison through a window, before boarding a flight to Sweden at an airport in Keflavik using someone else’s passport.

Icelandic police have issued an international warrant for his arrest.
