Crowdscience: Are Screens Bad for My Child’s Eyes?

It’s an accepted wisdom that we should limit our children’s screen time, and even though that feels inherently like the right thing to, is it based on any evidence that screens are bad for children? Unfortunately, yes: shortsightedness is reaching epidemic levels around the world, as this edition reveals. Maybe it’s time to ensure that children spend more time outdoors and experiencing natural light during their developing years, in order to preserve their eyesight for years to come.
