Accountants fined for dumping documents
A firm of London accountants has been fined for fly-tipping shredded documents near its office.
Accountancy Ommegas Services Ltd was ordered to pay £36,000 after being found guilty of repeatedly dumping rubbish near its offices. It is the largest penalty handed out in the London Borough of Brent for this kind of offence.
Environmental officers sifted through various pieces of shredded paper before tracing the crime back to the accountants based in Kingsbury, north London.
