SIR – Adele Davies (Letters, April 20) asks what her reading group’s 100th book should be.
I would recommend The Diary of a Nobody by George Grossmith. With its shrewd observations on the aspirations of ordinary people, it is as pertinent today as it was in 1892. Richard Davies
