SIR – Jemima Lewis (Comment, April 20) writes of the convenienc­e of Amazon, buying goods online one day and having them delivered the next.

In the Welsh borders we do things better. If we need something, we get in the car, motor to Wrexham or Chester (both five miles away), buy what we choose and are home within the hour.

No waiting around for delivery men. No trips to the post office to return items of the wrong colour or of the wrong size. Superbly convenient. Sarah C Fontes
