More genocide victims found in Rwanda

-

The remains of more than 200 people killed during the 1994 Rwandan genocide have been uncovered in a village on the outskirts of the capital Kigali. Villagers from Rusororo were digging for several days, to depths of 20m (66ft), before they uncovered the four mass graves on Sunday.

Gatera Honore, managing director of the Kigali Memorial Centre, said that the remains will be interred at a “dignified” location where relatives can honour them.
