His sleepiness raises so many questions. To start with: why hasn’t the second in line to the throne taken himself off to a different wing – a spare one in the palace – to get a decent night’s kip?

I’m inclined to suspect that Kate, like every new mother, has deliberately insisted that William stay in the marital bed, no matter how useless he might be when deprived of sleep. Just to make her point.
