Running out of banks

-

SIR – James Connington (Business, April 27) argues that bank customers should “vote with their feet” and move when in receipt of poor service. To what end?

A few years ago, HSBC reduced the interest on my account to virtually nothing, and then closed my local branch. I moved my account to RBS.

Shortly after, in 2012, RBS screwed up their computer systems and left me and millions of other customers helpless for what seemed like an eternity. I moved my account to the Cooperative bank. In 2013, hearing rumours about the liquidity of the Co-op, I moved again – to TSB.

Where would Mr Connington suggest I go now? John Snook
