Kent man accused of ‘preparing terror acts’

A 26-year-old man has been charged with terrorism offences, Kent Police said last night.

Lewis Ludlow, of Rochester, Kent, was arrested by the South East Counter Terrorism Unit on April 18.

The force said he was charged yesterday with two counts of engaging in conduct in preparation for acts of terrorism contrary to section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.

He has also been charged with one count of arranging funds or property for the purposes of terrorism contrary to section 17 of the Act.

Mr Ludlow was due to appear at Westminster magistrates’ court today, police said.
