Liz Hurley left shaken after disturbing burglars at home

-

LIZ HURLEY, the actress, disturbed burglars raiding her home before they fled with jewellery, it has emerged.

The star, 52, was reportedly left shaken after the break-in early on a Sunday morning in November after hosting a dinner party at her £6million home in Herefordshire.

The burglars are believed to have fled with jewellery after the former model and her guests disturbed them and called the police, it was reported. Her 16-year-old son Damian is said to have been at home at the time.

Officers, who used sniffer dogs to search for the intruders, believe the house was targeted randomly and that the burglars parked about half a mile away before walking up a footpath to the home. “Liz was very upset but has done the sensible thing and increased security,” a source told The Sun. “The place is now like Fort Knox. They don’t think Liz was targeted specifically and think thieves were just looking at large country houses to target.”

A West Mercia Police spokesman said: “At about 9am on Sunday Nov 19 2017, West Mercia Police received reports of a burglary in progress at a property. Officers attended, and the incident was investigated. No arrests have been made. If any new information comes to light it will be looked into.”

The disclosure comes two months after Hurley’s nephew Miles, 21, was repeatedly stabbed in a London street in an attack by four men.
