SIR – A word of warning to Telegraph readers who drive and drink alcohol.
If you discuss your alcohol habits with your doctor, your conversation is not covered by patient-doctor confidentiality. The DVLA can legally require your doctor to provide details of the conversation about your alcohol consumption, and you can easily get your driving licence revoked by the DVLA.
It happened to me and I am now having to go to the county court to clear my name. PR Grandidge
