-

♦ A man labelled as the “poster boy” for Romanian migration died after taking cocaine and driving at 110mph while disqualified, an inquest heard.

Victor Spirescu, the first Romanian to arrive in the UK to work when EU rules changed in 2014, was greeted by Keith Vaz at Luton Airport.

An inquest heard that the 33-yearold, who was not wearing a seatbelt and had taken cocaine, suffered multiple fractures in the Jan 15 crash.

Passenger Eugen Condurache said Mr Spirescu said he would show him a “proper doughnut” –where the car is spun 360 degrees. He said the car had been travelling between 100-110mph.

Milton Keynes coroner Tom Osborne concluded that he died as a result of a road traffic collision.
