Peace of paper

As a symbol of spirit, peace and resilience, Michael Pendry adds a white origami dove to Les Colombes, an art installation in Salisbury Cathedral. The feature, which opens tomorrow, is made up of a flock of around 2,500 of the paper birds and ‘flies’ the length of the cathedral nave. In the wake of the nerve agent attack in March, community groups have been encouraged to write down messages and fold them into their own origami doves that will be used by Pendry in future exhibitions.
